The last day
Wrote this the day before Psychology exam
———————————————————————————————————–
Bad time to write a blog post. While reading psychology in a really messed up condition I have been thinking about the speech by Steve Jobs on the convocation ceremony for Stanfy graduates. I have been thinking and thinking, as usual. I couldn’t help watching the same video four times in the last 20 hours.
But here comes one of the message of the speech that captured my attention, though there are lot others which deserve to be mentioned.
In Steve Jobs’ words
When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you’llĀ most certainly be right.” It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I’ve looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.
Eureka !!! My mind found something it was searching for months. Finally, I did it. I asked the same question today, I answered no. I know I can’t answer yes before my majors are over because I am too lazy during my exams. But still I am craving for a yes. And I am sure I will get a yes soon. I also know what all do I need to do for my first last day.
And once I get my first yes, I will publish this post. Hope I am able to do it soon, because keeping a completed post as a draft is really difficult for me.
P.S
I did fare really badly in my core courses..
I am still waiting for the last day, but I am not able to keep this post as a draft so sharing it.
