Acknowledgement :)

Treat everyone you care about like it is their last day, make sure they know how much they mean to you, and never leave loved ones without saying these three simple words: “I love you.”

So how much acknowledgement and appreciation are important in any relationship. Or first I should ask whether they are important at all. Well, I would have shot a straight no to the person asking this a few months ago. For I thought you need not tell anyone how much you love him, you just need to love him. I am a lot changed now. A lot has changed over this semester too. As far as this blog post is concerned I saw relationships got affected because of lack of these two words – “Appreciation and Acknowledgement”. Just today someone told me I need to start acknowledging things else I will be in trouble.

So, atleast now I can say that yeah they are important for a lot of people if not to all. These are definitely not the only things required in a relationship but yeah they form an important part.

As I started “Treat everyone you care about like it is their last day, make sure they know how much they mean to you, and never leave loved ones without saying these three simple words : I love you.” Though it was written in a very different context but still I felt like sharing it. Believe me as I believe it now after a firm non-belief for almost all my life till now, you sometimes need to show it.

Sometimes when they deserve it, sometimes when they may not but expect it for they have tried their best to make you happy. Now it is your turn.

So after reading this try to think all those persons in your life your parents, your relatives, your friends or anyone else whom you ever failed to acknowledge when they deserved it or when they wanted it. Acknowledge them now, for it is never too late. Even if it is, it is much better than never.

With the continuation of this post will be one about Hindu Marriages (and marriages in general). I am writing it now, but will share it in a while.
